Did I lend any of you my six feet under dvds (seasons 1-5)? I can't remember who I lent them to! I've checked with friends I thought i'd lent them to, but they haven't got it. I should learn to put my name on things and write stuff down;-)
Just been back to newcastle for a friends wedding. It was a fab weekend, and if it was almost anyone else's wedding I'd have found it grosly over the top romantic, but as its Fish (known him for 13+ years) I just thought it was sweet. Also made me realise I'm getting old!!!

My birthday is this thursday and I'm going out to rock world if anyone wants to join me:-) The short notice is cause I wanted to make sure I was feeling well enough to go (haven't updated LJ since, but had porphyria attack in March and was in hospital - haven't had much energy since to be social). But I'm starting to feel a bit better, though I'll have to take it easy:-)
I'm also having a small party at mine on friday, but my flat's not enormous so I'm not sure how many people are coming (it's bigger than the corridor-esq flat I lived in downstairs!).

I've had an interesting (if tiring) few days.
Firstly i need to remind everyone (and myself!;) that my housewarming is in a week and a half (Saturday 3rd March). Need to tidy the flat rather!
the interesting few days have mainly been regarding my health problems.
I also saw maz on sunday for a few hours which was great (she lives near-ish my grandparents, and we went to see them on sunday as the bpa meeting was close-ish), and she was shocked, same as I was when ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) renniek reminded me it's 10 years since pridmouth road, but agreed we should have a reunion (if we can get hold of hank!) ;-) Also talked about going to amsterdam in the summer.

I texted everyone I knew yesterday to let them know I was planning on having my housewarming in the last weekend in february. It then turned out it was a friends birthday do that weekend (he'd never mentioned it and I'm crap with birthdays), what ever I do it'll clash with something, but this one could create 'torn loyalties' so I have to change it!!
I'm now having the housewarming on Saturday the 3rd of March (though that's gonna be a pain in the arse as my parents will be over the day before. I've got an appointment with my specialist and the've got to come over for several reasons).
I'm also really pissed off with the medical profession generally.
Anyway, I'm going to see that chronic fatigue lady towards the end of this month, and even if they don't find any biochemical results it'll be interesting.
Hopefully I'll see some of you at the party, if not sometime soon.

Any girls I know - I'm having an Anne Summers party at my flat on the 17th of March, not really sorted time, just gonna say 7.30pm. Went to Mel's on saturday for a party, and ended up booking my own one *grin*, oh, and spent too much money!
Also, preliminarily, I'm probably having my housewarming party on the 24th of February, as it seems to be the first weekend I'm free, which makes a change! Also, missed LARP. If this is a problem for anyone, can you let me know, it's not fixed yet and I could do with some feedback :-)

Thought I'd let friends know that I'm not going back to do the masters this year. My health isn't good enough, and realising gradually, it may never be. I found a course on the Open Univesity site that i could do part time, which may be appropriate.
I'm taking some time out now anyway to work out what my actual limits are (rather than what i think they should be..), and to recover fully (rather than trying to keep going and always feeling ill). Have had years out before, and always thougth that was being kinda 'lazy', whereas when I've talked to friends recently I've finally realised (emotionally), being ill isn't a holiday.. It can get really tough to keep going, but that's life.
Haven't been out much or been in contact with anyone recently, as been feeling shitty fairly constantly (feel queasy all the time anyway, even with the regular anti-emetics, but it's been much worse recently). Hopefully that'll get better in the next few months, and I'll get to catch up with people. |

It's my 30th birthday on the 14th of June, and it's only just dawned on me that it’s a fortnight from today...... Naargh! Been a bit out of contact with friends and stuff since having to defer my Masters course. Due to illness, Porphyria, etc. Been up in the NE lots and I’ve been too tired to be able to do very much anyway. So it's kinda snuck up on me!
I'm having a PARTY at a friends house on SATURDAY 10th JUNE (a week Saturday). Do please let people know, I know it's short notice, but it'd be nice to see people.
Birthday Celebrations:
House Party on Saturday the 10th, at a friend's house on LLOYD STREET, RUSHOLME. My flat is too small for the party as I can only fit about 6 people in my living room/kitchen! So holding it at a friends house. If you want details please feel free to RING MY MOBILE, or EMAIL me on tractorb@gmail.com
In July I'm also joining in with a couple of friends (big John and Adam) in a big joint 30th birthday party. This will be at the SCUBAR 22nd JULY, as the guy’s birthdays are in July and August. I’ll post more details of that nearer the time.

Been meaning to post on LJ for ages now, but been too ill/tired/busy/etc to be arsed. For those I haven’t told I’ve been ill for a bit now (problems with the porphyria and various viral stuff and usual problems).
Apologies to anyone I snapped at over xmas, I was very stressed and a lot more ill than I realised, but still sorry.
I’ve had to defer my masters course as my health got so bad. I’d been ill the second half of the first term and was struggling to catch up for the January exams. I’d also been told there were no resits (only found out that was not strictly true until after it became irrelevant), and my course tutor wasn’t (isn’t) sure the course is being run next year (so didn’t think I could defer as I’d had to do previously during my degree), and not particularly helpful either. Trying to catching up as well as trying to recover from severe illness made me very stressed over xmas. In the end I had to admit defeat and defer the exams anyway, and just hope they run the course next year. I was making myself ill, and would have landed in hospital if I’d continued. As it is, I’m suffering the effects of being ill anyway and will do for several months yet (at least it won’t last the couple of years it tends to when I do land in hospital:).
Sorting out incapacity benefit etc (joy!!) at the moment, and keeping my fingers crossed they’re running the course next year. Either way, I’m planning on studying most of the work when I have energy in the mean time, so it’s easier for me if they do run it. If Manchester doesn’t run the course I’ll look into other universities that do something similar.
Life must have some karma though – my career and health go belly up and my love life sparks again;-) Went back to the NE to my parents to recover a bit and ended up going out with a guy I’ve known for at least 10 years now. Bit strange at first, and still is on occasion, but otherwise it’s great. He’s called Rupert (which he hated at school!) and is into tv and filmin stuff (old school dr who fan), and it’s great!
Due to my health problems, and the fact that I’ve left it so late etc, I’m abandoning the idea of Amsterdam for my 30th, but Zoe (know through cat & oli etc, and I RP with her) suggested they have a Amsterdam party at their house and bring the ‘dam to me;-) Bless her (she’s great;)!! I’d have the party at mine, except for the same reason I’ve not had flat warming - I can only fit about 5 people at max in my living room – my flat’s tiny!
Anyway, hopefully I’ll post again sometime soon (sooner than this time anyway!). Lots of hugs to everyone. |

| AMSTERDAM for my 30th |

For anyone I haven't told by text, I'm planning on going to Amsterdam on the weekend of the 10th of June to celebrate me getting very old! Went there for my 21st and had a fab time, so decided to go again. The more the merrier. Appologies if it clashes with other stuff, but I can't work round everyone;-) My actual birthday is the 14th, but as that’s the middle of the week I had to pick one weekend, and it’s Lee’s do the weekend after. And if you don't come, you obviously don't care about me!!! (emotional blackmail;) *laughs*
Can you let me know within the next week or so if you’d like to come? I’m planning on booking it as soon as possible so that flights etc are as cheap as possible (meant to do this after I got back from xmas, but my health and masters fucked that up – would write more about that, but it’s too depressing).
Will hopefully book tickets by the end of January, but I’ll confirm before then who’s definitely interested. After that I can look at accommodation for everyone. |

Car drivers are all WANKERS.... Especially the bmw convertable drivers that play 'lets see how much we can soak a pedestrian' as a sport.
I was walking as far away from the road as possible (due to lack of any drainage on oxford road, but it's that time of year), and I got soaked head to toe, literally, and I'm not exactly short..

Just a quickie to say I've now started uni, and have internet access (though I won't have time to check very often for the next few weeks, until I'm settled in a bit more).
Started yesterday, and although it's been bloody hard work, I'm enjoying it already. From what I've seen to it's confirming I've done the right thing (may not say that in a couple of months!).
Having spent most of my life running away from computers and the idea of programming, I'm finding I'm actually quite enjoying learning how they work! Arghhhh!! Though will probably be swearing about them loads shortly when I've got to do more complex stuff without a postgrad in the background to ask questions etc....
